How Invisalign works its magic!

We use iTero technology to digitally scan each patient’s mouth to get a map of the measurements that are required for the aligners to be manufactured in the Invisalign laboratory, bespoke for each person. You will be required to wear each of the aligners for a couple of weeks, before switching to a new aligner. You will be provided with 6 weeks’ worth of aligners to be able to do this, before you need to come and see us for a check-up. Each aligner will apply a certain amount of pressure on the teeth to push them into the desired position. They should be comfortable to wear as the plastic material is smooth and streamlined. You will also be able to remove the aligners for a couple of hours each day. This means that you will be able to take them out for eating food and you won’t have to worry about scrubbing them clean afterwards! You can also take them out while you brush your teeth, so you won’t have anything in your mouth to stop you from doing a great job of that – just keep flossing!
