When it is worn over their teeth, as the retainer is thin and transparent, it becomes practically undetectable. As such, patients can carry out their daily lives without being impacted by their treatments.

Unlike traditional braces, which are typically bonded to the front of a patient’s teeth for the duration of their treatment (often around twelve months) removable dental aligners can be taken off at the patient’s choosing.
